Sophie's Journey with High Masking Autism and ADHD

Sophie's Journey with High Masking Autism and ADHD

3 years ago, a mum came to me looking for extra support with routines and helping her 4 year old daughter prepare for what was coming next.

Together, we created a completely bespoke visual timetable to support transitions, planning and Independence.

As Sophie grew, so did her planner. We created mor and more bespoke picture tokens to match her busy days.

Then in 2025, Sophie received a diagnosis of high masking autism and ADHD, something her family had long understood.

With the right tools and support in place, Sophie continues to thrive at school and as a young performer and child actor with a full, joyful schedule.

Supporting neurodivergent children isn’t about fixing anything. It’s about understanding, adapting, and giving them tools that work for them.

I’ve been lucky enough to support Sophie and her family for several years now, creating bespoke visual timetables and resources that grow with her. Seeing her confidence, independence and joy as she balances school and a busy performing schedule has been incredibly special.

Thank you to her wonderful mum for trusting me with such an important part of their everyday life 💛
